The NWOUG and Hackett Group are proud to bring you another engaging Lunch & Learn, this time we will present practical tips on Coexistence, The Key to Successful Cloud Adoption. This is the second installment of a Series we have dubbed “A Practical Guide to the Cloud” since we all know the Cloud should not be considered a destination but more of an enabler to the success of the businesses and customers we serve.
We are pleased to have an excellent speaker, Scott Mankin, from Hackett Group, leading us on this learning journey. Organizations are overwhelmingly choosing to adopt Cloud Applications gradually over multiple projects rather than exposing the business to large-scale disruption. This decision results in a hybrid environment that requires additional integrations between Cloud and on-premise systems. Oracle has responded by offering a coexistence deployment model that provides ready-to-use integration code that is provided as part of the standard Fusion Applications installation.
With these additional products, companies can alleviate some of the technical burden that comes with Cloud enablement. Like much of the cloud landscape, the state of coexistence is rapidly evolving and new offerings are being provided at a rapid pace. For customers currently managing conventional enterprise systems, it is important to be aware of available options and build coexistence into a corporate roadmap. This presentation will cover the current landscape, provide an inventory of coexistence solutions, and review a supplied integration that synchronizes Oracle E-Business Suite with Cloud Applications.
